10 Years Of Very Good Beers

10 Years Of Very Good Beers

You're invited to join us at the brewery Friday September 6 (NOTE: we've moved the main event from Saturday due to weather!) and all weekend long as we celebrate ten years of Dominion City and the incredible community that's built it.

Join us from 3pm Friday on. Like any good party, there'll be tasty snacks, cold drinks and the warmth of good friends. We'd love you to be there.

From mid-afternoon 'till 8pm Chef T and The BBQ Joint will be cooking outside. At 6pm, there'll be a small mountain of fresh donuts from BAMM's Snack Shack on us. Starting at 8pm, we're flipping things over for late night karaoke and a throwback snack bar featuring taproom favourites from yesteryear like burnt end egg rolls, Beacon Hill Bar Mix (!), pickled and deviled eggs and of course, roller hot dogs. We'll have feature kegs and more pouring all weekend.

There'll even be a free limited edition DCBC 10 lapel pin for the first 200 guests.

To celebrate and in preparation for the party, we've just released Deck Ade, an anniversary IPA. Check it out here.

---------------------------------------------------------

Ten years ago, we opened the doors to a small, boot-strapped brewery in an old t-shirt printing factory in the back of an East End industrial park. What started with perhaps the least original origin story in craft beer (a couple dudes who found a passion for backyard brewing and took a chance on themselves), has today, with the care, passion and support of so many staff, fans, backers and customers, grown to be so much more.

Over the last ten years we've had our share of highs and lows. Throughout, we've sought to make beer we're proud of and excited to share. We've tried to remind ourselves to do things the right way; operating with respect for our team, customers and community. We've come to value that what we do should include everyone and to embrace our responsibility to eliminate barriers and respect the dignity of all people. And rewardingly, we've made it our mission to build community by recognizing that purpose is a necessary precondition for profit.

The road here has been harder and more meaningful than we could have possibly known to expect that fateful date one decade ago. We wouldn't trade a second of it.

Thank you for being part of it with us and making it possible. Here's to the next decade.
