Steps we're taking to safeguard our team and fans.

Steps we're taking to safeguard our team and fans.

Like us, you've no doubt been reading and having conversations with loved ones about the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation here in Ottawa and across the world.

I wanted to let you know what we're doing and what this means at Dominion City.

Taking what steps we can to protect the health of our team and our fans is our top priority. In that spirit, we're taking some precautionary measures to lessen the risk to Canadian public health posed by COVID-19.

The brewery is open. Beer making requires us to be beyond just clean, but sanitary as a matter of course. We're stepping up our already rigorous cleaning processes, especially in the front of house where we welcome guests. We're having ongoing conversations as a team about everyday preventive behaviours like enhanced hand washing and surface disinfection. We're also adhering to risk-informed decision-making regarding taproom events. We are carefully following the guidance provided by the Government of Canada and local public health authorities, which means it's possible taproom events may be postponed or cancelled. We'll be sure to let you know should things change.

If for whatever reason you're inclined to stay home, we're continuing to ship orders from the brewery across Ontario with subsidized shipping. This will continue until we're advised to do otherwise.

We're committed to keeping you up to date with any changes that may affect you. We continue to benefit greatly from the information made available through the Government of Canada and credible news outlets like the Globe and Mail, the New York Times and the Toronto Star have opted to make coverage of the virus available free of charge through their websites.

We're committed to acting thoughtfully and prioritizing the well-being of our team, fans and community. Keep well and be good to each other.

Sincerely,
Josh McJannett

P.S. - Not everyone in our community is in a position to heed the calls to stock up their pantry. Our friends at our local food bank are acting to help those in need, but they can't do it alone. We've made a donation today and if you're in a position to do similarly, please consider helping them here.
