Forges and Farms Norwegian-style Farmhouse Ale

6.2% ALC. / VOL.

This beer was inspired by classic Norwegian farmhouse ales and brewed using a blend of modern and traditional techniques. On brew day we mashed grain on a bed of cedar branches and fermented the beer at high temperature using a wild yeast captured by a farmer in the Hornindal Valley in Western Norway and cultivated here in Ontario at Escarpment Labs. The result is rich and complex, lightly carbonated and showcases balanced sweetness while remaining refreshing.
