Morandin Wines - 2018 County Chardonnay
Almost two tonnes were hand picked from Knotty Vines Vineyard at 21.0 brix in October. After ferment, this wine was aged almost 2 years in French oak barrels, while resting on the lees.
According to Leah Spooner @the_winepress "Drawing aromas of buttered toast, yellow plum and ripe pineapple. There is a cool core of zippy acidity and saltiness on the palate reflecting PEC's terroir. Notes of starfruit and apple wrapped in a warm hug of tertiary notes that include toffee, kernel and caramel. Persistent finish. Great winemaking here. Score 93"
