- We are roasting the Yeast Fermented Natural a little more quickly than the Pulped Natural offering and with less development time to highlight the red berry and funky notes that we love in this coffee while also maintaining the sweet chocolate and pastry notes.
Long-time partner producer Gabriel de Carvalho Dias’ farm Cachoeira da Grama has been a Detour staple on our year round blend menu since we started in 2009. Every year we source multiple lots from this farm and once and a while we will find one to showcase on its own on the single origin menu to really highlight the character of the region. This specific lot, grown on the Cachoeira da Grama farm in Mogiana, Brazil near the Minas Geras region, is a classic pulped-natural processed coffee that really showcases the consistent and classic flavour profile of Brazil. Soft fruit and pastry-like aromatics make way to a creamy texture and rich notes of peach cobbler, milk chocolate, and creamy cashews.
