We're so glad Jess decided to join the bottleshop and tasting bar team in early 2018. She's a staple behind the bar on our busiest days and a familiar face to many in Ottawa's artisanal beer scene.
Jess has a passion for great beer and is an experienced storyteller, having spent the last couple years leading tours of local breweries for Brew Donkey, a local beer tour provider and good friends of ours. Having brought strangers through the brewery on an almost-weekly basis since our early days, she's likely heard our origin story more times than she'd care to remember.
"I actually hated beer until around five years ago because I thought it was all macro stuff. IPAs and sour beers did it for me and it made me realize beer could be a lot more."
Originally from Cobourg, Ontario, Jess is a talented artist who's previously worked in a tattoo parlour and once lived in a tent for weeks on end as a camp cook. When not busy pursuing a degree in architecture, Jess is a prolific knitter.
