ABOUT THE LAS MISHAS BLEND

This community blend is grown by seven small, certified organic farmers living in the small communities of Bomboca and Vista Alegre, in the Colasay district. Colasay is one of the few areas in northern Peru to have maintained its independence from large cooperatives, allowing producers to continue cultivating traditional varieties over the years.

Origin Coffee Lab has an on-site collection point and offers numerous workshops on processing methods. The feedback loop is very effective, which has led to significant improvements in quality and yield.

The coffees selected for this batch underwent a short fermentation on the cherry before pulping, resulting in a flavor profile described as "Fruta Madura" (ripe fruit), characterized by notes of dark fruit and a pronounced sweetness. Each batch was evaluated separately at the collection point before being approved for inclusion in this high-quality blend. This collaborative and methodical approach reflects the producers' expertise and commitment to quality, while also resulting in a balanced, expressive coffee that truly represents this unique terroir of northern Peru.
