The Dominion City Beer Club Rewards Program is a rewards program by Dominion City Brewing Co. that allows members to earn points on purchases in-store & online. Rewards may be redeemed in-store & online for most products excluding products with a charitable donation component, gift cards, event booking fees, event tickets, tips, gratuities, and other select items.

Exclusions are listed below. Points are non-transferrable and have no monetary value. Points are applied as a discount code to your order and may not be combined with other discounts, promotions or offers at the time of redemption.

Membership

Membership is free and there is no purchase necessary to create a Beer Club account. To participate, you must be a Canadian resident, 19 years of age or older. Only one account is permitted per person. A member may not hold multiple accounts with multiple email addresses. Proof of identity may be required to validate membership. Program membership is not available to corporations, businesses, charities, partnerships, enterprises or anyone other than an individual. To participate in the Program, you must provide an email address, first name, last name and phone number. The methods for participating in the Program may change from time to time.

Members are required to provide their first and last name or email address online or in-store to earn Beer Club points. Points will not be granted on previously-completed purchases at any time. This includes when an email address was not presented in-store or when an account was not logged into prior to completing the purchase.

The Beer Club, offers and promotions are offered by us and may be offered to all Program members or any group of the Program members, as decided by Dominion City Brewery. Any offer or promotion is time limited, and may contain additional terms and conditions, which will apply in addition to these Terms and Conditions. Each offer is only valid once, unless expressly stated otherwise in the terms of the offer. We may limit products or quantities of products on which a member may earn Beer Club points and/or other Beer Club rewards. If a member earns Beer Club Points and/or Beer Club rewards in a manner not permitted by these Terms and Conditions or any offer, we may deem, in our sole discretion, any such Beer Club Points and/or Beer Club Rewards to be invalid and cancel them, which will result in the removal of such points from a member’s account. By joining the Beer Club, members agree to periodically receive updates regarding their account via email.

Earning Points

There are several ways to earn Beer Club points, as set out below.

Members must register in-store or online by providing their email address, phone number and first and last name.

Corner Store: Beer Club members earn 10 points for every $1 spent in the Corner Store. From time to time, the program will offer bonus points promotions where Beer Club points may be earned at a higher reward level. Promotional offer criteria may vary.

Online: Beer club members earn 10 points for every $1 spent online at dominioncity.ca.

Sign-up: New members will receive a $5 Reward (1,000 points) upon joining the program

Birthdays: Members will receive a Free Draught Beer Reward each year on their birthday. This reward is redeemable for seven (7) days prior to and seven (7) days following the member’s birthday. Birthdays must be added to an account 30 days before the member’s birthday to receive the annual birthday reward in that given year. Points added later will result in members needing to wait until the following year to receive their birthday reward. Members who join the Beer Club on their birthday will receive their birthday bonus points the following year.

Redeeming Points

Points can be converted to rewards once the account balance reaches 1,000 points or $5 Rewards. Points are converted to rewards through the use of a discount code.

To “redeem” means to use your Beer Club Rewards to pay, or partially pay for eligible purchases by verbally requesting redemption at the point-of-sale in-store or using your discount codes online at dominioncity.ca. Minimum and Maximum redemption increments apply and are subject to change at any time without notice.

On occasion, we may offer redemption promotions to members for particular products or services, such as an increase in the value of Beer Club points or a lower minimum redemption amount. There may be additional applicable terms and conditions that accompany such promotions.

Beer Club points (with the exception of birthday rewards or other special promotional rewards) will not expire as long as you have an active Beer Club account. However, we reserve the right to close any account without notice if inactive for at least 2 years.

Points are applied as a discount code to your order and may not be combined with other discounts, promotions or offers at the time of redemption.

Earning and Redemption Rules and Exclusions

Beer Club points may not be earned on the purchase of Gift Cards.

Beer Club points cannot be redeemed for any of the following: the payment of deposits, event booking fees, event packages, event tickets, charitable donations or the purchase of items with a charitable donation component, gift cards, event tickets, drink tokens for events, cash back, delivery charges, tips or gratuities, open food/beverage items, invoiced open checks, or any other products or services that we may specify from time to time or where prohibited by law.

Beer Club points are not earned on the portion of a transaction that is being paid for by redeeming Beer Club rewards. Beer Club points that are earned upon making a purchase cannot be redeemed for that purchase and can only be redeemed for a subsequent eligible purchase In any one transaction, Beer Club points may only be earned on a single account and may only be credited to a single account.

All items purchased using Beer Club rewards in part or in full are Final Sale.

If you return a purchase, your account balance will be reduced by the number of Beer Club points earned for that purchase at our sole discretion. If a refund or correction is applied to your Account, your Account balance will be adjusted up or down by the number of Beer Club points related to the refund or correction, as applicable, and your Account balance may become negative. Upon the return or exchange of purchases earned through the redemption of Beer Club rewards, all redeemed Beer Club rewards will be forfeited and the member will receive the value of the returned product in the form of a gift card.

Occasionally, through specified promotions, you may be awarded additional Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards. These Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards may not always be recorded on your receipt at the time of the transaction, in which event they will be recorded at a later purchase transaction date.

The number of Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards displayed on your receipt or on any website, email, mobile app or by any other method, may not reflect your current Beer Club points and rewards balances according to our records. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any errors in the Beer Club account balance displayed on any website, email, mobile app or other method. If any Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards are awarded to your Account in error, we reserve the right to deduct the number of Beer Club points awarded in error at any time and without notice to you. We are not obligated to honour a request to redeem Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards that were added to an Account in error. Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards will not be awarded if in our reasonable opinion the products purchased will be used for resale or commercial use and any Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards awarded on such purchases will be forfeited. We reserve the right to limit Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards awarded with respect to any offer or promotion to reasonable household quantities. If a Program member was awarded Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards for an offer or promotion in which a member purchased a product in excess of reasonable household quantities, the Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards awarded as a result of that offer or promotion may be forfeited without prior notice.

We are not responsible for any errors that may occur in the sending or loading of offers or if there is a delay in sending or loading offers. We are not obligated to honour a request to earn or redeem Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards that were not earned or redeemed due to an error or delay in the sending or loading of offers.

If you are unable to access your account, please contact us at info@dominioncity.ca. You are responsible for all redemptions on your Account, including any redemptions made on your Account during a period where you may not have had access and/or were awaiting a password reset, and all redemptions made on your Account as a result of unauthorized access to your Account, such as due to a failure to safeguard your password.

At the sole discretion of Dominion City Brewing Co., you may be permitted to transfer your Beer Club points and/or Beer Club rewards to another Program member. Upon the death of a Program member, the member’s Account will be closed and any Beer Club points and Beer Club rewards in the Account will be forfeited. Beer Club points and Beer Club rewards are not divisible in the case of divorce or equalization of family property.

Beer Club points and Beer Club rewards have no cash value and are not exchangeable for cash. Except as permitted from time to time by Dominion City Brewing Co., Beer Club points cannot be assigned, exchanged, purchased or given by gift. Beer Club points cannot be sold, traded, bartered, rented or otherwise disposed of. Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards are void if sold for cash or any other consideration.

Should you choose to close your Account, you will forfeit any Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards accumulated in your Account on the day of the account closure.

Changes to the Program

In the event these Terms and Conditions, or any aspect of the Program, is restricted, suspended or changed, we will provide you advance notice by posting the amended Terms and Conditions online at dominioncity.ca Your continued participation in the Program following such notice will constitute your consent to any amendments to these Terms and Conditions, or any other aspect of the Program.

General

By participating in any aspect of the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time and you should check dominioncity.ca regularly for any updates.

You are responsible for protecting and keeping secure your Account and any password or security questions used in connection with your Account.

We reserve the right to terminate the Program, or any part of it, at any time on 45 days prior written notice (to be provided at Participating Stores, on our websites, or through other communications to Program members, including via email). If the Program is terminated, you will have up to 45 days after the effective termination date to redeem any Beer Club points in your Account. After the expiry of the 45-day period, any Beer Club points that have not been redeemed will be forfeited.

We reserve the right to sell or transfer all or part of the Program to a related company or to a third party, to merge with another entity or to engage in any form of corporate, reorganization or financing transaction. In addition, the manner in which the Program is provided to you and the organizations providing offers in connection with the Program may change.

If any of the information you were required to submit when you registered for the Program changes (such as your name, birth date, email address or phone number), you must notify us immediately and give us your current information. We are not responsible if we cannot contact you because you have not given us current, accurate information.

We reserve the right to refuse to allow any person to join the Program for any reason in our sole discretion, including for not meeting the eligibility requirements or for having a membership cancelled previously. We may, at any time, suspend or cancel any participation in the Program, if, in our view, a member has abused any Program privilege, failed to follow these Terms and Conditions, or made any misrepresentation to us or to any entity associated with or participating in the Program. In the event that participation in the Program is cancelled, all accumulated Beer Club points and Beer Club rewards in the Account may also be forfeited and removed from the Account.

To the extent permitted by law, by participating in the Program, members agree to release and discharge Dominion City Brewing Co. and any of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, from any loss, liability, claim, demand, damage or expense asserted by any person or entity relating in any way to the Program, their participation in the Program or the redemption and use/misuse of any item obtained through the redemption of Beer Club points or Beer Club rewards or otherwise in connection with the Program.

We reserve the right to withdraw or temporarily change or suspend all or part of the Program in any way, in the event of a material error, omission, technical problem, computer virus or bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond our reasonable control that interferes with the proper conduct of any aspect of the Program as set out in these Terms and Conditions. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Program in any way (as we may determine in our sole discretion) could be a violation of criminal or civil laws and should such an attempt be made, we reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Our failure to exercise any of our rights, powers or remedies in these Terms and Conditions or at law, or any delay in doing so, does not constitute a waiver of those rights, powers or remedies. The single or partial exercise of a right, power or remedy does not prevent its subsequent exercise or the exercise of any right, power or remedy.

Words in the singular form shall be construed to include the plural and vice versa, unless the context otherwise requires, and the word “including” means “including but not limited to”. Any dollar amounts referenced in connection with the Program or these Terms and Conditions are referenced in Canadian dollars.

Each of the provisions contained in these Terms and Conditions is distinct and severable and a declaration of invalidity or unenforceability of any such provision or part thereof by a court of competent jurisdiction will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision of these Terms and Conditions.
